Frank Ocean - Journey

Copied!edit Lyrics
original text at lyrnow.com/1400423
Chorus
You’re giving me love, Oh love
You’re giving me love, Oh love
You’re giving me love, Oh love
Oh love
Giving me love
Love Love

Verse One
Little Indian girl
Saved me from master
Showed me the path to
Escape from plantation
Rainwater falls deep in the woodland
After the swamp(?), I saw the mountains
Underneath the stars
Campfire dancing
Mystical flower, in her tobacco
I’ve never bathed in water so cold
Nevеr had a lover before

Chorus
You’rе giving me love, Oh love
You’re giving me love, Oh love
You’re giving me love, Oh love
Oh love
Giving me love
Love Love

Verse Two
A Little Indian girl
Big chiefing on the grass
Two spotted horses running nowhere fast
And don't the sun look golden baby
Never mind my broken language
I swore the sky was frozen solid
Melting rain fell down and down
Miles, Miles
Miles, Miles

Chorus
You’re giving me love, Oh love
You’re giving me love, love
You’re giving me love, Oh love
Oh love
Giving me love
Love Love

Verse Three
Granddaddy, could you finish telling me this story
I'll be back when the streetlights turn on
It's Super Sunday
And the Summer (?) are out there dancing
Under the bridge I wanna go out there with them
Singing Ahh ahh ahh Oh oh
Beating to the drum oh oh oh
Said I'm singing Ahh ahh ahh Oh oh
Beating to the drum oh oh oh

Hook
You’re giving me love, love

Biography

edit bio
Frank Ocean, born Christopher Edwin Breaux on October 28, 1987, in New Orleans, Louisiana, is a musician who has garnered a cult following with his enigmatic persona and unique approach to pop music. His stage name, Frank Ocean, was inspired by the original Ocean's 11 film, starring Frank Sinatra.

After Hurricane Katrina destroyed his recording studio in 2005, Ocean moved to Los Angeles and joined the hip hop collective Odd Future in 2009. He initially began his music career by ghostwriting tracks for artists like Justin Bieber and Beyoncé before deciding to pursue a solo career.

Ocean signed with Def Jam but self-released his mixtape "nostalgia, ULTRA." after the label refused to let him release his album. His next album, "Channel ORANGE," released in 2012, received critical and commercial success, earning him a Grammy for Best Urban Contemporary Album in 2013.

After a four-year hiatus, Ocean returned with his visual album "Endless" in 2016, followed by the release of "Blonde" two days later. "Blonde" was certified platinum in July 2018. Ocean also started a Beats One radio show called "blonded" where he debuts new music and remixes.

Frank Ocean's music is known for its future psychedelic soul sound and his ability to blend genres seamlessly. He draws inspiration from films, cars, and a variety of musical influences, including Stevie Wonder, Outkast, and The Smiths. Ocean is also known for his elusive nature, having done only 18 interviews in his career and rarely performing live.

Despite his reluctance to engage with the public, Frank Ocean has become a major influence in R&B and pop music, pushing boundaries and captivating audiences with his introspective lyrics and innovative sound.
