Copied!edit Lyrics
original text at lyrnow.com/1487014
Stan Marsh
'Cause you got to do what you wanna do
Don't let nothin' get in your way
Chase your dream every day!
True, girl you know it's true
That if you really wanna be you
You gotta do what you wanna do!

He was unhappy 'cause he just wanted to play ball

Eric Cartman
But he finally got the courage to answer his heart's call-ll-ll

Stan Marsh
Just like me, all I ever wanted was to sing and dance
And now that I stood up for my dream I finally have the chance

Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman & Kenny McCormick
You gotta do what you wanna do!
Even if other people don't really want you to
True, girl you know it's true
That the thing you want to do is the thing that you should do

Kyle Broflovski
Some kids think I'm strange 'causs I like studying for an exam
But I don't let that bother me because it's who I am

Eric Cartman
And I like nothing better than making fun of Jews
And ripping on black people
Though some people think it's rude
But you gotta

Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman & Kenny McCormick
Do what you wanna do
Just make sure that what you're doing
Is what's cool and popular with everyone else

Chew baby, chew and chew
When you're eating jerky
If eating jerky is what you wanna do

Kyle Broflovski
Do what you want don't have restraint

Eric Cartman
Don't stress about it or you just might faint

Kenny McCormick
If you wanna get high and jack off it's cool

Stan Marsh
You gotta do what you wanna do!

Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman & Kenny McCormick
Do what you wanna do!
As long as what you wanna do is what everybody wants you to!
Glue baby, buy some glue
Just in case that what you're doing
Involves needing scissors and glue

edit bio
South Park is a groundbreaking musician who has been entertaining audiences with their unique blend of humor and satire for the past 18 years. The brainchild of Colorado natives Trey Parker and Matt Stone, South Park first premiered on August 13, 1997. Parker and Stone met while attending the University of Colorado and bonded over their shared love of Monty Python.

The duo created a short film called The Spirit of Christmas, featuring early versions of the iconic South Park characters. The short quickly became one of the internet's first viral videos and caught the attention of television production companies. Fox executive Brian Graden asked Parker and Stone to create a Christmas card featuring the characters, which eventually led to the creation of Jesus vs. Santa.

Initially made using paper cutouts and stop motion animation, South Park transitioned to computer animation when it was picked up as a series. One of the most unique aspects of the show is its incredibly fast production timeline, with each episode being produced in just one week. This allows South Park to remain timely and relevant in a way that other animated shows, such as Family Guy and The Simpsons, cannot.

Despite its popularity, South Park has also courted controversy throughout its run. One of the most infamous incidents occurred with the episode "Trapped In The Closet," which satirized Scientology. The episode led to threats from actor Tom Cruise and the departure of voice actor Isaac Hayes, who was a Scientologist. Stone defended the show's satire, stating that they had never received complaints from Hayes about other religious depictions on the show.

South Park's willingness to tackle controversial topics and push the boundaries of satire has cemented its status as a groundbreaking musician in the world of animation. With their sharp wit and fearless approach to humor, South Park continues to entertain audiences and spark important conversations about society and culture.
