Biography

Born on April 19, 1988, in the favelas of São Paulo, Vinicius Sosa had a tumultuous upbringing that shaped his journey into music as SosMula. Immigrating to America at the age of 8, he experienced a state-to-state shuffle before settling in Manhattan’s Upper East Side. It was in these new surroundings that SosMula's sound began to take shape, blending the styles of NYC rappers with the fiery spirit of Spanish Harlem.

During high school, Sosa's friends noticed his talent for rapping and dubbed him "Sos," a nickname that eventually evolved into Sos Money as he pursued success to better himself and his family. A period of incarceration further solidified his determination, leading to the transformation of his pseudonym to SosMula. This name not only reflected his love for money but also symbolized his spirit and ambition.

SosMula's unique blend of flashy yet focused lyricism has garnered him recognition in the hip-hop community. He is known for shouting his signature "MULA!" war-cry over studio mixes, embodying his name and lifestyle in every aspect of his music and persona.

Collaborating with fellow New York underground rapper ZillaKami, SosMula is part of the group City Morgue, releasing several albums together. Their music reflects their frustration with the music industry and the grind of life, emphasizing the importance of participation and excellence as a means of overcoming obstacles.
