Jake Brewer - Head rush

Copied!edit Lyrics
original text at lyrnow.com/1676852
verse 1
Did you know i could swim
Before you threw me in the deep end?
Did i pick up the pieces of you
Just to be blamed for them?
‘cause secrets are heavier than the walls they hide behind
And your heart's no better than this heart of mine

chorus
If i grip the sides of your bed would you learn to love me again?
I'll throw back my head and say you’re the best i've had
If i drop the best part of me would that be a worthy apology
To look in my eyes and tell me that i’m worth your time?
Would that be enough?
Am i still stuck in the head rush?

verse 2
Did you drink tequila in excess
To forget me and dissolve your regret?
Did you make me carry you home
Just to feel my arms and then leave me alone?
Your lies are lighter than the flames of the fire
And your words are no better than those of a stranger
You show me a love like i never knew
Could i learn to believe i was never meant to?

chorus
If i grip the sides of your bed would you learn to love me again?
I'll throw back my head and say you’re the best i've had
If i drop the best part of me would that be a worthy apology
To look in my eyes and tell me that i’m worth your time?
Would that be enough?
Am i still stuck in the head rush?

outro
If i agree to stay in these pieces
Would you approve of the formation?
If i lay here in your bedroom
Is nothing left of me enough for you?
Is nothing left of me enough for you?
