She began music at around the age of 10 and has been creating and composing music from a young age. She grew up in Montclair, New Jersey.
Her stage name (MaeThePirate) comes from her love of video games and her heritage.
She also incorporates her cello in every song. So keep an ear out for that.
She hopes and wants her music to be a safe place for those seeking escape from everyday life.
