ICP set you on the lawn, a Faygo fountain
And this ain't the farthest we goin' up the mountain

Biography

edit bio
Insane Clown Posse, the horrorcore rap group known for their unique blend of music, theatrics, and dark storytelling, was formed by childhood friends Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J. Shaggy 2 Dope, whose real name is Joseph William Ustler, and Violent J, whose real name is Joseph Bruce, first came together in the late 1980s in Detroit, Michigan.

The duo's music often revolves around The Dark Carnival mythology, a complex and intricate narrative universe that serves as the backdrop for their albums. Central to this mythology are the Joker's Cards, a series of albums that tell a cohesive story about life, death, and morality. The first deck of Joker's Cards, spanning from Carnival of Carnage to The Wraith: Shangri-La and Hell's Pit, established Insane Clown Posse as a force to be reckoned with in the underground rap scene.

In addition to their music, Insane Clown Posse is also known for their dedicated fanbase, known as Juggalos. Juggalos often paint their faces in the signature black and white facepaint of Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J, and gather at concerts and events to celebrate the music and camaraderie of the group.

Throughout their career, Insane Clown Posse has released numerous albums, each adding new layers to The Dark Carnival mythology. From Bang! Pow! Boom to The Marvelous Missing Link: Lost and Found, the duo has continued to push boundaries and challenge perceptions with their music and performances.

As of December 2015, Insane Clown Posse remains a powerful and influential force in the world of horrorcore rap, continuing to inspire and captivate fans with their unique blend of music, storytelling, and theatricality.
