Time - Turn Columbus To Crumbs

The crystal merchant awoke Unakite make me wild out
Shungite beads and amethyst bring my style out
Neurofantastic flow I rap psychomagical
Style wars classical, Cornbeard fanatical
My autobiographical seems to be radical
Rhizome mathematical growing like botanicals
My paragraphs poison, my tongue tyrannical
Battles get tragic my bars break clavicles
My gamma gun grammatical with words I shatter skulls
Strategy practical but freestyle supernatural
I wrote this in gasoline and highlighted with a lighter
I wrote this in barbwire then rewrote it with pliers
I wrote this at my lowest in hopes of climbing higher
I wrote this with a lotus in the mud I was inspired
I wrote this in bullets, the page was the crossfire
I always write with heat, I made the frost retire
Rhyme book remarkable, my bars stay prominent
Dirty Lab conglomerate, dominate the dominant
Never tolerant of your colonizer monuments
Explode your statues with sound waves were bombing em
Turn Columbus to crumbs his head doing somersaults
History hides genocide we know the numbers are false
Fuck all these nazis we stone cold stunning em all
And I'm a keep on going as long as the drummer don't halt
And keep on toasting beats like the butter is soft
And I hope the haters never leave it's funner with y'all
I'm swishing 16s before the buzzer go off
You'll never strike me, your 16s are gutter balls
If this your secret weapon try the other vault
Back to toasting the beat, I'm sprinkling butter salt
Flow so sick I'm wearing tyvek coveralls
Metaphor mage, wizard flow watch me hover off

Time was a rock band from Yugoslavia that made a significant impact on the music scene in the 1970s. Formed in 1971 by Dado Topić, who had previously been a member of Korni Grupa, the band quickly gained a following with their unique blend of progressive rock and jazz influences.

The original lineup of Time included Dado Topić on vocals, Tihomir “Pop” Asanović on organ, Vedran Božić on guitar, Mario Mavrin on bass, Ratko Divjak on drums, and Brane Lambert Živković on piano and flute. Over the years, the lineup changed frequently, but the core members remained dedicated to creating innovative and captivating music.

Time released three albums during their time together, each showcasing their musical versatility and talent. Their first album featured a prominent Hammond organ, piano, and flute, while their second album had a harder sound with several ballads. The third album introduced a jazz-funk production style, further expanding their musical repertoire.

Some of Time's most popular songs include “Da li znaš da te volim”, “Rock ‘n’ roll u Beogradu”, and “Istina mašina”, which showcased their ability to create memorable and engaging music that resonated with audiences.

After disbanding in late 1977, Dado Topić embarked on a successful solo career, but the legacy of Time continued to live on. In 1998 and 2001, the band reunited for a limited number of live concerts, delighting fans with their timeless music and energetic performances.

Today, Time still plays together as a rock trio, continuing to captivate audiences with their unique sound and enduring musical legacy. Their influence can be heard in the work of many contemporary artists, solidifying their place in the history of Yugoslavian rock music.
