Dominic David Fike, known simply as Dominic Fike, was born on December 30, 1995, in Naples, Florida. He began his music career as a rapper, but later transitioned into the alternative rock genre.

In the early stages of his music career, Fike was part of a collective called Backhouse Music, along with other artists such as SLYTE, Ike Offline, and Seno. He reflected on this period of his life in his song "Westcoast Collective."

In 2017, Fike faced legal trouble and released a rough draft of his EP titled Don’t Forget About Me, Demos. This release caught the attention of Columbia Records, who reportedly signed him to a $4 million record contract. The EP was officially released on October 16, 2018.

Fike gained a significant following in 2019 when Kevin Abstract, the leader of the boyband BROCKHAMPTON, directed an alternative music video for Fike's song "3 Nights." This collaboration led to Fike being featured on two tracks on Abstract's album ARIZONA BABY.

In June 2019, Fike released the lead singles for his upcoming debut album, "Rollerblades" and "Açaí Bowl." The full album is set to be released in late summer of the same year.

Fike has expressed confidence in his upcoming album, stating that he is determined not to let his fans down. He believes that his music will resonate with his audience and leave them feeling satisfied.
