Nine Inch Nails - Heresy

Copied!edit Lyrics
original text at lyrnow.com/1984903
He sewed his eyes shut because he is afraid to see
He tries to tell me what I put inside of me
He's got the answers to ease my curiosity
He dreamed a God up and called it Christianity
God is dead and no one cares
If there is a hell I'll see you there
He flexed his muscles to keep his flock of sheep in line
He made a virus that would kill off all the swine
His perfect kingdom of killing, suffering and pain
Demands devotion atrocities done in his name
God is dead and no one cares
If there is a hell I'll see you there
Your God is dead and no one cares
If there is a hell I'll see you there
God is dead and no one cares
If there is a hell I'll see you there your God is dead
God is dead and no one cares
And no one cares drowning in his own hypocrisy
And if there is a hell I will see you see you there

Burning with your God in humility
Will you die for this?

Biography

edit bio
Nine Inch Nails is an industrial rock project led by the incredibly talented multi-instrumentalist Trent Reznor. Reznor has been the driving force behind the project for many years, serving as the only constant member until Atticus Ross officially joined in 2016. Despite the ever-changing lineup of band members for live performances, Nine Inch Nails has consistently produced highly influential records across a wide array of genres, including industrial and electronic rock.

Throughout the 1990s, Nine Inch Nails released several groundbreaking albums that pushed the boundaries of music. The project gained a reputation for its innovative sound and intense live performances. After eight successful studio releases, Reznor decided to put Nine Inch Nails on hiatus in 2009 to focus on other projects. However, he made a triumphant return in 2013 with announced tour dates across the United States and overseas.

Nine Inch Nails has received numerous accolades over the years, including 13 Grammy Award nominations and two wins for songs "Wish" and "Happiness In Slavery." Reznor himself was recognized in Time magazine's list of the year's most influential people, and Spin magazine has hailed him as "the most vital artist in music."

The band has released a total of nine studio albums since their debut in 1989, as well as four original EPs. Nine Inch Nails was also one of the first artists to have an independently released record go platinum. Their albums have achieved great success, with two reaching the number one spot on the U.S. charts - The Fragile and With Teeth - and four others landing in the top 5.

Each official Nine Inch Nails release is assigned a Halo number, providing a unique identifier for fans. The band's discography showcases their evolution and innovation over the years, solidifying their status as one of the most influential and groundbreaking acts in the music industry.
