Wednesday - Without You

Copied!edit Lyrics
original text at lyrnow.com/1992445
Verse 1
Wish that I could see her
Standing on the corning
I know I can't be with her
She claims nobody owns her
She preys on all your feelings
Then leaves you all alone
She gets you where she wants you
Then use you like a ❲?❳

Chorus
Though I gave up trying a long, long time ago
Within her arms is the warmest place I know

Verse 2
Used to walk together
On the quiet nights of spring
She loved me for a while
She even wore my ring
But now I’m left without her
I know it's for the bеst
She treats me likе the others
No different from the rest

Chorus
Though I gave up trying a long, long time ago
Within her arms is the warmest place I know
(All right!)

Guitar Solo

Outro
Though I gave up trying a long, long time ago
Within her arms is the warmest place I know
I suppose, you know, I'll always feel the same
To her, you see, the love is just a game
(Just the same, it’s just a game
Just the same, it's just a game
It's just the same, love's just a game
It's just the same, love's just a game
It's just the same, love's just a game
It’s just the same, love’s just a game)

Biography

edit bio
Wednesday is an indie rock band based in Asheville, North Carolina that began releasing music in 2018. Originally a musical collaboration between University of North Carolina students Karly Hartzman and Daniel Gorham, the group expanded into its current iteration as a five-piece outfit composed of frontwoman Karly Hartzman (vocals/rhythm guitar/primary songwriter), Jake “MJ” Lenderman (lead guitar), Xandy Chelmis (lap steel guitar), Margo Schultz (bass), and Alan Miller (drums).

The band’s name Wednesday comes from Karly Hartzman and original member Daniel Gorham’s mutual appreciation of English jangle pop band The Sundays, especially their 1990 album Reading, Writing and Arithmetic. Yet The Sundays' soft guitar music is a far cry from Wednesday’s current musical output, which is mainly an amalgamation of ‘90s-inspired noisy slacker rock with elements of country and shoegaze … also known as “country-gaze.”
