Darren Korb - Song of the Deep

Copied!edit Lyrics
original text at lyrnow.com/1996390
Verse 1
Down 'neath the ocean
A world alive in constant motion
Blues and greens in peaceful quiet
Leave us be, don’t stir the waters

Chorus
Turn around and swim back to your shore, sailor
Float away forever more from here

Verse 2
See all around us
Creatures free, nothing to ground us
Ebb and flow with the currents
Leave us be, and don't stir the waters

Chorus
Turn around and swim back to your shore, sailor
Float away forever more from here
Turn around and swim back to your shore, sailor
Float away forever more from here

Bridge
Crab and seamare, shark and starfish
Bass and marlin, Gupp and sturgeon
Charp and Scuffer, whale and sawfish
Hippocampus and Charybdis all together live serene

Chorus
Turn around and swim back to your shore, sailor
Float away forever more from here
Turn around and swim back to your shore, sailor
Float away forever more from here

The Spike Video Game Awards (VGAs) awarded Korb with both the Best Original Score and Best Song in a Game for “Build That Wall (Zia’s Theme)”. The soundtrack was praised by media outlets — Kotaku placed Bastion’s soundtrack as one of the best in 2011. Touch Arcade reviewed the soundtrack, noting that “Darren Korb’s music is astounding, rich and evocative as it echoes across the game and perfectly complements the bright yet mysterious world of Transistor.” The soundtrack garnered many awards nominations and won several including New York Videogame Critics Circle’s Best Music in a Game and SXSX Gaming Awards‘ Excellence in Musical Score.
