Biography
On March 14, 2022, both companies announced the launch of their new girl group, and a confirmation that the former members of IZ*ONE, Miyawaki Sakura and Kim Chaewon were to be the part of its lineup. Later on, the individual video teasers were uploaded onto HYBE’s official YouTube channel in mid-April of the same year, unveiling their other new members: Hong Eunchae, Kazuha, and Huh Yunjin, who is known for representing Pledis Entertainment on the 2018 Mnet survival show Produce 48 in which Chaewon and Sakura participated as well. Soon after, it was revealed that LE SSERAFIM’s first extended play will see its daylight in early May.
The group’s name itself is an anagram for the group’s motto, which is “I’M FEARLESS”, and it implies the group’s confidence and strong will to fearlessly move forward without being swayed by the world’s gaze. Where a Seraph is a 6-winged heavenly being, in this case, LE SSERAFIM is a 5-piece group supported by their fanbase, which is a delegate for this meaning. In addition, Seraphim is mentioned in Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, as heavenly beings who are high-ranking angels.

This is following the bullying accusations against her which had previously resulted in her taking a hiatus from all group activities shortly after debut.
