Arcy Drive - Desert Song

Copied!edit Lyrics
original text at lyrnow.com/1999833
Verse 1
Whisper in the valley, it's just
Wind blowing from the city
That he's paralyzed from us all along
And he stands alone on his mountain tall
And where is my oasis?
I feel dried out and spacious
For my attitude has been out of tune

Refrain
I'll say it loud and I'll say it's true
That the desert heat would look so good on you

Verse 2
Flash forward to a new day
He trades dry sand for a blue lake
And a silhouette he could call a muse
And they share the rain in a different view
I swear she's my oasis, I feel a fool
She's faceless
For the setting sun and the rising moon

Refrain
I'll still say it loud and I'll say it's true
That the desert heat would look so good on you
And I'd wait all day, all day, right here for you

Outro
All you need and all you lose
Scatters through the avenues
And how you choose, how you'll feel
Some get lost when the risk gets real
Hidden in the alleyways
Is all you need to light a way
Some get lost when the risk gets real
Some get lost when the risk gets real
And I'd wait all day, all night
I'll wait all day right here for
For you
For you

"Desert Song" by Arcy Drive is a haunting and atmospheric track that captures the feeling of being lost in the vast expanse of the desert. The lyrics paint a picture of a lone figure standing tall on a mountain, searching for their oasis and feeling dried out and out of tune. The refrain repeats the desire for the desert heat to look good on someone, adding a sense of longing and yearning.

As the song progresses, the protagonist finds a new perspective and a muse in the form of a silhouette by a blue lake. The imagery of trading dry sand for water and sharing the rain in a different view adds a sense of renewal and hope. The outro speaks to the idea of finding what you need and losing what you don't, and the risk that comes with following your heart.

Overall, "Desert Song" is a beautifully crafted track that explores themes of isolation, longing, and renewal in the vast and unforgiving landscape of the desert. The haunting melody and introspective lyrics make it a standout track that will linger in the listener's mind long after it ends.

With time to kill and an attic to jam in, Arcy Drive, a group of four good buds from Northport, NY began forming their scratchy but spirited sound.

Traveling in a 1989 Toyota van, they shared their music locally which they coined “Attic-Rock.” With a newfound passion of playing live, the four renovated an old school bus and began touring the US before their first official release.
