Verse 1
Well the One
True God made me mighty hard to handle
Though I could blame certain scandals
The scandals feed my fame, yeah, yeah
But my God
Won’t stop ‘til the Philistines are shattered
And you pulled ‘em all together
And if I can’t escape

Chorus
Oh, yeah, well, well, you (Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh)
You just might need kung fu
You (You, you, you, ooh-ooh-ooh, you)
Well, well, well, you (Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh) Oh yeah
You just might need kung fu
(You, you, you, ooh-ooh-ooh, you) Well, yeah

Verse 2
On a night
I met a lady of the evenin’
While a massive plan was schemin’
So I trashed the city gates
Listen, how
It played out: I ran before they found me
But I think they placed a bounty
And if ever we should face

Chorus
Oh yeah, well, boys, you (Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh)
You just might need kung fu
You (You, you, you, ooh-ooh-ooh, you)
Well, well, well, you (Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh)
You just might need kung fu
(You, you, you, ooh-ooh-ooh, you) Whoa, yeah

I’ll rip ‘em to bits
Ow

Instrumental Break

Bridge
Now that I’m dating
All that sweet talk surely flows from my mouth, I know

Chorus
But you
Hey–yeah
You just might need kung fu
You (You, you, you, ooh-ooh-ooh, you) Oh, yeah

Outro
I've been waiting for, waiting for you, bruh
(Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh)
Oh, yeah, you just might need kung fu
(You, you, you, ooh-ooh-ooh, you)
Me, you, me, you and me
I've been waiting for, waiting for you, bruh
(Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh)
Oh my, you just might need kung fu
(You) Oh (You, you, you, ooh-ooh-ooh, you)
Woah-ooh-woah, I've been waitin' for, waitin' for, waitin' for
(Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh)
Waitin' for, waitin' for, waitin' for, waitin' for
You just might need
(You, you, you, ooh-ooh-ooh, you)
Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
I've been waitin' for you, bruh
(Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh)
You just might need
(You, you, you, ooh-ooh-ooh, you)
I’ll be brutally honest with you
(Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh)
You just might need

ApologetiX (That Christian Parody Band), located in Pittsburgh, PA, was founded in 1992. In the song “We’re in a Parody Band”, ApologetiX refers to itself as a cross between “Weird Al” Yankovic and Billy Graham.

ApologetiX rewrites secular songs with Christian lyrics. They get their unusual name from the word “apologetics”, which means “the defense of the Christian faith.” It is based on the Greek word for defense, “apologia”. The word is used in 1 Peter 3:15, “But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer (defense or "apologia”) to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect…“ (NIV). Their logo, a triquetra, is an ancient symbol of the Holy Trinity.
