Young boy of love
Where are you, my young boy of love
Oh, oh
Young boy of love
Where are you, my young boy of love
Oh, oh

Won't you wish upon a star and tell me that it's true
Won't you wish upon a star and say that "I love you"

Young boy of love
Where are you, my young boy of love
Oh, oh
Young boy of love
Where are you, my young boy of love
Oh, oh

Won't you wish upon a star and tell me that it's true
Won't you wish upon a star and say that "I love you"

My young boy of love
Where are you, my young boy of love
Oh, oh
Young boy of love
Where are you, my young boy of love
Oh, oh

Biography

edit bio
Marc Bolan, the mastermind behind the iconic band T. Rex, began his musical journey as one half of the psychedelic folk duo Tyrannosaurus Rex in 1967. Alongside multi-percussionist Steve Took, Bolan drew inspiration from science fiction, nursery rhymes, and high fantasy literature to create a unique blend of acoustic-guitar driven music. The duo gained a following in the UK underground scene, with radio personality John Peel even collaborating with them on two albums.

However, creative differences led to Took's departure and his replacement by Mickey Finn in 1969. Bolan then transformed Tyrannosaurus Rex into the electric-guitar driven T. Rex, ushering in the glam rock era. With hits like "Ride a White Swan" and "Get It On," the band skyrocketed to fame, becoming one of the most popular acts in the UK during the early 1970s.

T. Rex's albums, such as Electric Warrior and The Slider, received critical acclaim and solidified their status as pioneers of glam rock. Bolan's charismatic stage presence and catchy, sexually charged lyrics captivated audiences and influenced countless artists. However, by the mid-1970s, Bolan's personal struggles with cocaine addiction and disillusionment with the music scene led to a decline in the band's popularity.

In an attempt to reinvent himself, Bolan explored soul and disco music, but tragically, his life was cut short in a car accident in 1977. Despite his untimely death, T. Rex's legacy lived on, influencing a new generation of musicians and solidifying their place in rock history. Marc Bolan may have left this world too soon, but his music continues to resonate with fans around the globe.
