Helena Mayer - Maybe there's something out there for me

Copied!edit Lyrics
original text at lyrnow.com/2067873
Verse 1
Feelings in my head
Thoughts inside my heart
I think I've got it wrong again
It took me by surprise
I didn't think to cry
It's like I lost everything

Chorus 1
I think I'm moving back
Can't seem to catch a break
I thought that it would last
Much longer than day
There's always greener grass
On the other side of me

Chorus 2
Is there anybody else
Who's fighting with themselves
Vulnerable and all alone
Sometimes it's hard as hell
To be someone like yourself
Come in with best intentions
Led into misdirections

Refrain
I can't help but think
Maybe there's something out there for me
For me

Bridge
Can't seem to find the words
Is this when helping hurts
I think I've got it wrong again

Chorus 1
I think I'm moving back
Can't seem to catch a break
I thought that it would last
Much longer than day
There's always greener grass
On the other side of me, on the other side

Verse 2
Keep tellin' me to move
I'm getting in the way
If I went any slower
You'd think that I'd decay
It's only been an hour
But that's the way I think, the way I think

Chorus 2
Is there anybody else
Who's fighting with themselves
Vulnerable and all alone
Sometimes it's hard as hell
To be someone like yourself
Come in with best intentions
Led into misdirections

Chorus 2
Is there anybody else
Who's fighting with themselves
Vulnerable and all alone
Sometimes it's hard as hell
To be someone like yourself
Come in with best intentions
Led into misdirections

Refrain
I can't help but think
Maybe there's something out there for me
For me

Biography

edit bio
Helena Mayer is a singer and songwriter born in Thousand Oaks, California. From an early age, Helena has had a passion for music, and now together with Joshua Zegan, she has begun releasing R&B and pop-infused music. Her deeply introspective, sometimes brooding, and soulful lyrics represent a dichotomy when paired with the dance-oriented, electronic instrumentation. Mayer
takes her influence from artists like Khalid, Julia Michaels, and Bilie Ellish.

While she had planned to begin releasing in early 2019, she released her first single in November of 2018 in response to the Borderline shooting and fires that overtook her hometown earlier that month. Since then, she has been convicted to write music that makes the world better, even if it is just a little bit.
