East - Black Hearted Woman

Copied!edit Lyrics
original text at lyrnow.com/2086338
I had a neighbor
She was working for the paper
Every day in the morning
She was walking to her labor
With her black lily hat

And every day in the evening
She's back from her working
She's just sitting on the floor
By the kitchen door and thinking
What she's aiming at

Black-hearted woman
Barefooted woman
Black-hearted woman
She was living in the big old house
In her room, secretly
She wore her pink laced blouse
Black-hearted woman

When all the leaves were burning
I saw her, she was weeping
The big old yard, she was smiling
But her eyes, they were sleeping
Oh I remember that
And this midwinter morning
I heard she quit her working
And she sold her old house
For forty years or more she'd been living
Oh I wonder where she's at now

Black-hearted woman
Barefooted woman
Black-hearted woman
She was living in the big old house
In her room, secretly
She wore her pink laced blouse
Black-hearted woman
Black-hearted woman

Black-hearted woman
Barefooted woman
Black-hearted woman
She was living in the big old house
In her room, secretly
She wore her pink laced blouse
Black-hearted woman

Oh black-hearted woman
Oh black-hearted woman
Black-hearted woman, oh
Black-hearted woman, ooh
Black-hearted woman
Black-hearted woman

Biography
