Seven Lions - Falling Away

Copied!edit Lyrics
original text at lyrnow.com/210267
Intro
And I don't wanna go
I wanna be here all night
No one has to know
No one has to say it's alright
'Cause I think we're there
And I think we're there
(We're there)

Verse 1
I didn't want to think
'Cause I knew I was out of my mind
You pulled me from the brink
And brought me to the other side
And I think we're there
And I think we're there

Pre-Chorus
So goodnight, goodnight
Don't have to have it all figured out
We'll be alright
What comes about is gonna come about
Tomorrow when we meet
Just take me to a place I've never been
Find me in the sweetest oblivion

Bridge
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

Chorus
We have it all in front of us
And I can see the sun is up to cover us
And I'm lifted up
You take me to a beautiful day
And I feel like my shadow is falling away
Falling away, falling away
Falling away, falling away, falling away

Drop
Falling away, falling away, falling away
And I'm lifted up
Falling away, falling away, falling away

Bridge
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

Chorus
We have it all in front of us
And I can see the sun is up to cover us
And I'm lifted up
You take me to a beautiful day
And I feel like my shadow is falling away
Falling away, falling away
Falling away, falling away, falling away

Drop
Falling away, falling away, falling away
Falling away, falling away, falling away
I'm lifted up
Falling away, falling away, falling away

Outro
Falling away, falling away, falling away
I'm lifted up
Falling away, falling away, falling away

Jeff Montalvo, better known by his stage name Seven Lions, is an American DJ and electronic dance music producer. Uniting trance, dubstep, and progressive house sub-genres, Montalvo was nominated for America’s Best DJ in 2014 and has topped numerous EDM charts.

Born March 31, 1987 in Santa Barbara, California, Montalvo got off to an early start in music production. At the age of seven, he was first introduced to production when his dad bought a keyboard and a Macintosh computer. Montalvo picked up guitar and bass, and initially performed with several metal bands before segueing into his true passion: electronic music production.

After receiving a Fruity Loops production station from a friend, Montalvo began teaching himself EDM composition. In college, he quickly gravitated towards trance, and after listening to a Tiësto CD and attending his first rave in 2007, he started producing original trance compositions.

Montalvo embraced the stage name Seven Lions, taken from the 2003 fantasy novel Latro in the Mist by Gene Wolfe, and began releasing music in 2010.

Starting off with a handful of remixes, including an unofficial remix of “Cosmic Love” by Florence + The Machine, Montalvo soon catapulted into the EDM spotlight. His remix of “Cosmic Love” was well-received, and made it on to the official roster of remixes under the official single package. After releasing a remix of Oceanlab’s “Satellite” in 2011, Montalvo went on to enter Above & Beyond’s official remix competition with a remix of “You Got To Go”. The track not only won the competition, but shot to the No. 2 spot on Beatport’s Dubstep chart and was later officially released.

In 2012, Montalvo released a remix of Above & Beyond’s “On My Way To Heaven” and made his debut with the EP Polarize.

After signing onto Skrillex’s label OWSLA, Montalvo released his second EP Days To Come. Montalvo continued to release remixes, and made several No. 1 features on Beatport’s Dubstep chart.

In May 2013, Montalvo collaborated with Mimi Page and Minnesota on the OWSLA track “Fevers”, and released a remix of Röyksopp’s “Running To The Sea” in July. In August, Montalvo collaborated with trance producers Myon and Shane 54 on the single “Strangers”, which debuted on the official soundtrack for the film The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. Featuring Swedish singer-songwriter Tove Lo, the track went on to peak at No. 32 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on SiriusXM BPM 51 following its official single release in October. In November, Montalvo delved into a metal-infused side project, Gathering Darkness, and released its first and only installment, “Serpent of Old”.

In April of 2014, Montalvo released his third EP, Worlds Apart, on Casablanca Records. The EP peaked at No. 76 on the Billboard 200 and at No. 2 on Top Electronic Albums.

In February of 2015, Montalvo released two singles: “Lucy” and “The Fall”, a collaboration with Xilent. In March, Montalvo released his fourth EP, The Throes of Winter, also with Casablanca Records. In August, Montalvo released the single “Falling Away”, followed by “Cusp” on Armada Music in October.

In March 2016, Montalvo released his fifth EP, Creation, which debuted at No. 1 on Top Electronic Albums. In October, he collaborated with Said the Sky, ILLENIUM, and HALIENE on “Rush Over Me”, and with Echos on “Cold Skin” in November.

In June 2017, Montalvo released “Cold Hearted”, a collaboration with Kill The Noise, and his sixth EP, Where I Won’t Be Found.

In February 2018, Montalvo launched his own record label, Ophelia, and released its first single, “Calling You Home”, just two days later. The following month, Montalvo released a two-track EP, Ocean with Jason Ross. In May 2018, Montalvo collaborated with Tritonal and Kill The Noise on “Horizon”.

In July, Montalvo released the single “Dreamin’”, and the following month, collaborated with Blastoyz on “After Dark” and released his seventh EP, Start Again.

In October, Montalvo collaborated with SLANDER and Dabin on “First Time”, and in January of 2019, released “Island” with Wooli and Trivecta.
In March of 2019, Montalvo collaborated with Kill The Noise on “The Blood”, and in April, joined Crystal Skies on “Sojourn”. In August, Montalvo collaborated with Wooli and Excision on “Another Me” and with MitiS on “Break the Silence”. In December, he joined Jason Ross on “Known You Before”.

In March of 2020, Montalvo released his eighth EP, Find Another Way. In July, Montalvo collaborated with Last Heroes and HALIENE on “Don’t Wanna Fall”, and in he collaborated with Jason Ross and Crystal Skies on “Foolish Of Me”.
