Biography

Born in Doncaster, England, Dominic Harrison, known by his stage name YUNGBLUD, is a musician who has made a name for himself by fusing alternative rock and hip-hop while also using his platform to address important social issues such as mental illness and politics.

Harrison's passion for music was instilled in him from a young age, with his parents introducing him to the world of music by placing a ukulele in his hands just days after he was born. His father, who owned a guitar shop, and his grandfather, who was part of the iconic band T. Rex, further influenced his musical upbringing.

Before adopting the moniker YUNGBLUD, Harrison initially performed under his own name, releasing music with a more acoustic sound. However, after being approached by a record label in his late teens, he found himself conforming to their expectations in hopes of achieving commercial success. Eventually, Harrison realized that staying true to his own artistic vision was more important, leading him to part ways with the label and embrace his unique style and message.

In January 2018, YUNGBLUD released his self-titled EP, followed by his debut album 21ST CENTURY LIABILITY in the same year. He continued to make waves in the music industry with the release of his second EP, the underrated youth, in October 2019, and his second album, Weird!, in December 2020.

Throughout his career, YUNGBLUD has garnered a dedicated fan base for his energetic performances, thought-provoking lyrics, and unapologetic attitude. By fearlessly tackling tough topics and pushing boundaries with his music, YUNGBLUD has solidified his place as a rising star in the music scene.
