Intro
Ooh-hoo-oo-hoo
Ooh-hoo-oo-hoo-oh

Verse
When you're down and troubled
And you need some loving care
And nothing, nothing is going right
Hmm, close your eyes and think of me
And soon I will be there
To brighten up even your darkest nights, yeah

Chorus
You just call out my name (Call out my name)
Know wherever I am
I'll come running (I'll come running, yeah-eah, oh-oh)
To see you again
Winter, spring, summer, or fall (Yeah)
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there
You got a friend

Bridge
Now, ain't it good to know that you've got a friend?
People can be so cold
You know they hurt you, they try to desеrt you
Take your soul if you let them
Don't you lеt them

Chorus
You just call out my name
Know wherever I am
I'll come running (Running, running, running, yeah)
To see you again
Winter, spring, summer, or fall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there
You got a friend

Outro
You got a friend (You got a friend, yes ,yeah)
You got a friend
You got a friend (Yeah, hey)
You got a friend, yeah

Biography

edit bio
BROCKHAMPTON is an LA-based boyband that was originally formed in San Marcos, Texas in 2015. The group was founded by high school friends Ian “Kevin Abstract” Simpson and Ameer Vann, who initially formed a group called ALIVESINCEFOREVER in 2012. After releasing their debut EP, The ASF EP, in 2013, the group disbanded at the end of 2014 and rebranded themselves as BROCKHAMPTON.

The band consists of a diverse roster of creatives, including musicians, graphic designers, producers, and videographers, who come together to create a mix of content. Named after the street that Kevin Abstract grew up on in Corpus Christi, TX, BROCKHAMPTON was founded out of a desire for connection and friendship.

In 2015, BROCKHAMPTON gained recognition with the release of their song “Dirt” on A-Trak’s Fool’s Gold Records, marking a breakthrough moment in their career. The following year, they released their debut mixtape, ALL-AMERICAN TRASH, and in 2017, they gained popularity with the release of their debut album, SATURATION, followed by SATURATION II and SATURATION III later that year.

After signing with RCA Records in 2018, the band faced challenges with the dismissal of rapper Ameer Vann due to sexual assault allegations. Despite this setback, BROCKHAMPTON released their fourth album, iridescence, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart. The album marked the beginning of a new trilogy titled THE BEST YEARS OF OUR LIVES.

In 2019, BROCKHAMPTON released their fifth full-length record, GINGER, which showcased their versatility and creativity as a group. With a lineup that includes members such as Kevin Abstract, Matt Champion, Merlyn Wood, Dom McLennon, Russell “Joba” Boring, and more, BROCKHAMPTON continues to push boundaries and redefine the boyband genre with their unique sound and collaborative spirit.
