Uh, the next one's by Bruce Springsteen

Woah, woah
Woah, woah

Hey little girl, is your daddy home?
Did he go and leave you all alone?
Oh no, I got a bad desire
Oh oh oh, I'm on fire

Tell me baby, is he good to you?
Can he do to you the things that I do?
Oh no, I can take you higher
Oh oh oh, I'm on fire
Oh oh oh, I'm on fire

Woah, woah
Woah, woah

Sometimes it's like someone took a knife, baby
Edgy and dull and cut a six-inch valley
Through the middle of my soul
Woah

At night I wake up with the sheets soaking wet
And a freight train running through the middle of my head
Only you can cool my desire
Oh oh oh, I'm on fire
Woah, I'm on fire

Woah, woah
Woah, woah

Woah, I'm on fire
Woah, I'm on fire

spoken
Thank you!

Biography

edit bio
Phoebe Lucille Bridgers, born on August 17, 1994, in Los Angeles, California, is an American singer-songwriter known for her introspective and hauntingly beautiful music. She discovered her passion for songwriting at a young age, penning her first song at just 11 years old. Throughout her adolescence, Bridgers honed her craft by performing at open mic nights and busking at farmers markets in her hometown.

At the age of 20, Bridgers made her official debut with the release of a three-song EP titled Killer. This EP garnered attention from the music industry, leading to a series of tour offers. Over the next two years, she toured with established artists such as Julien Baker and Violent Femmes, gaining valuable experience and exposure.

In September 2017, Bridgers released her highly acclaimed debut album, Stranger in the Alps. Drawing inspiration from iconic singer-songwriters like Elliott Smith and Leonard Cohen, as well as contemporary artists, Bridgers crafted a collection of emotionally raw and introspective songs that resonated with listeners.

In addition to her solo work, Bridgers is a member of the bands boygenius, a collaboration with Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus, and Better Oblivion Community Center, a project with Conor Oberst. These collaborations have allowed Bridgers to explore different musical styles and expand her creative horizons.

Bridgers' sophomore album, Punisher, was released in the summer of 2020 to widespread critical acclaim. The album delves into themes of depression, isolation, and coming-of-age, showcasing Bridgers' growth as an artist and songwriter. Punisher earned Bridgers three nominations at the 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards, including Best Alternative Music Album, solidifying her status as one of the most talented and innovative musicians of her generation.
