Self-medication is the wave for the fix
Its only temporary but Lord- its captured in flicks
Plastered on social media- gone in the abyss
Free falling now I’m calling on the one who’s a miss
Probably lost in themselves or lighting a spliff
Or having a sip- baby-sitting a nip- provided their lift
Gone- now we moving in slow mo
Life recycling past traumas I’m screaming out no mo’
I’ve еndured so much I had close ends
Nightmarеs in the physical- it wasn’t pretend
I lost my friend- demons had me bent
You can exorcise me- this soul ain't for rent
Sins bought and paid for at the tender age of twelve
A young gunner picking locks and running from hell
Ran straight into the Lord’s arms- carry me home
He said “son you have to trust me”- I was locked in a zone
Suicidal tendencies then college I was out on my own
I had to pray for myself cuz no one picked up the phone
How the hell did you expect me to live?
Couldn’t count on people- some prayers they did give
I had to elevate myself- now they saying “you inspire me”
I’m still struggling now but I managed to build a hierarchy
Purged myself of souls who had malicious intent
They called me family but I gave them up like lent
To be honest I’m just so busy building a dynasty
I have no time for small talk and gossip folk tryin me
Like I give a damn about who such and such said
Mediocre life styles and lack luster bread
Asking me basic questions like who’s sleeping in my bed?
That’s all you got going through your head?
I grow out of people quick so don’t take it personal
I don’t need to depend on anyone because I have my own arsenal
So calling me two faced or an opportunist is a reach
I’ve been doing this on my own for years I never had to leach
So think twice before you tarnish my name
Things ain't poppin for you? It’s all-apart of the game
Trust your process- I’ll still spread love
Don’t confuse me for the others- we don’t share the same blood
I vibe different- an acquired taste to some
I’m sorry our roads separated but we still have the sun
We still have our dreams- we still have the one
Lets put our energy to good use- take our dreams and run
