Nickelback - Guardian Angel

Copied!edit Lyrics
original text at lyrnow.com/907131
There's a man on the street
Whose got nothing to eat
And he asks you for a hand
But you pass him aside like
He's on a free ride and he's a con-man
But if the role were reversed
And you'd been born cursed
I think you'd see it differently
Take a walk in his shoes
And then you might lose
That tight grip on generosity

I wasn't born a guardian angel
I'm just an average Joe who's
Tryin' to know a little bit
About what's going on
No I, wasn't born a guardian angel
Side by side we can do it together
We'll pull through it and
We'll make our problems history
Won't you please be my guardian angel

Take a walk in his shoes
And then you might lose
That tight grip on generosity
I wasn't born a guardian angel
I'm just an average Joe who's
Tryin' to know a little bit
About what's going on
No I, wasn't born a guardian angel
Side by side we can do it together
We'll pull through it and
We'll make our problems history
Won't you please be my guardian angel

And he asks you for a hand
But you pass him aside like
He's on a free ride and he's a con-man
But if the role were reversed
And you'd been born cursed
I think you'd see it differently
Take a walk in his shoes
And then you might lose
That tight grip on generosity

I wasn't born a guardian angel
I'm just an average Joe who's
Tryin' to know a little bit
About what's going on
No I, wasn't born a guardian angel
Side by side we can do it together
We'll pull through it and
We'll make our problems history
Won't you please be my guardian angel

Biography

edit bio
Nickelback is a Canadian rock band formed in 1995 in Hanna, Alberta. The band is composed of lead guitarist and lead vocalist Chad Kroeger, rhythm guitarist, keyboardist and backing vocalist Ryan Peake, bassist Mike Kroeger, and drummer Daniel Adair.

They formed in the early 1990’s as a cover band called “The Village Idiots”. They eventually changed its name to Nickelback, which originates from the change Mike Kroeger usually gave back when he worked at Starbucks. Because everything was changed at $X.95, he would usually say, “Here’s your nickel back.”

Nickelback is one of the most commercially successful Canadian groups, having sold more than 50 million albums worldwide and ranking as the eleventh best-selling music act, and the second best-selling foreign act in the U.S. behind The Beatles, of the 2000’s.

Billboard ranks them the top rock group of the decade, and they listed their hit “How You Remind Me” as the top rock song of the decade.
