Derek Pope - Bones

Chorus
Pulled her out the phone, is this real life
Im up in her bones, and it feels like
I am not alone, for the first time
Yeah i feel at home
Like woah woah woah

We broke out the cellar
Started running for the walls
Won't get far no let up
Won't get far don't get up
Never stuck here with us
We take all the fools gold
Just to live like winners
Verse 1
And my winters feel like they too warm for me
I'm the cеntre of the sky with this storm forming
If you evеr see me dying get the phones rolling
Might aswell make something got your own coming

You don't say
Nights been getting darker when i stay
Demons they dont bite now when i fake
I could close my eyes and stay awake
A hundred days now

Verse 2
Incomplete still have dreams where you haunt me in my sleep
Out at sea trying slumbers in the deep
Please dont panic these titanics on my feet

Dont let me sleep but
If we buried in ill dig us out those
Voices want me gone im here right now so
Whats that say about this bloody mouth
A hundred rounds now

Derek Pope

Derek Pope is a musician who has taken the road less traveled in pursuit of his unique sound. Born and raised in Oakland, California, Pope discovered his passion for music at a young age. In high school, he delved into beat production, spending countless hours perfecting his craft and laying the foundation for what would become his signature sound.

It wasn't until 2015 that Pope decided to experiment with singing, a decision that would ultimately lead him to redefine his musical style. After creating a few demos, Pope realized that he had stumbled upon something special. His lyrics, particularly the line "Looking at the ceiling, thinking I could make a million," resonated with listeners and set the stage for what was to come.

In 2015, Pope released his debut EP, Sunken City Redux, which featured the hit single "Raincoats." The track showcased Pope's ability to seamlessly blend elements of indie rock, pop, and trap, creating a sound that was uniquely his own. With his self-produced beats and introspective lyrics, Pope has managed to carve out a niche for himself in the music industry, pushing the boundaries of what is considered mainstream.

Derek Pope's music is a reflection of his journey as an artist, constantly evolving and challenging the status quo. With each new release, he continues to push the envelope and defy expectations, solidifying his place as a rising star in the music world.
