Symba - Fire in the Booth

I shoulda started rapping when the beat drop
But since the beat dropped i guess i gotta find the sweet spot
Since Charlie reached out they love us for the freestyles so lets lock in
I know most niggas woulda heard this beat and started off with allow me to reintroduce myself my name is Sym
No Charlie I'm not them
Caitlyn Jenner Flow can't tell me im not him
Imma from a place that breads players and peas
A girlfriend is a side bitch to a chick with some cheese
It's like wе learned about weed beforе we learned hot to read
And thats why we chase money before we chase our dreams
A lot of niggas where I'm from go broke
Its the ... outta towners they partying with em and getting close
You fucking up the game with your vices nigga
We take the work OT not the prices nigga
At 14 I was driving with no license nigga
I had a fake one with a photo of my highschool picture
And a better car than my teachers with a lot more vision
I learned a lot more from not listening
Why would I listen to people I didn't want to be in life
When the LOX taught us money power and respect was the key to life
I'm still traumatised from all I seen in life
My uncle told on my other uncle how do he sleep at night
Imagine your blood brother who told gon take the stand and tell on you while he wearin your clothes
You get ten years and this nigga get to go home and if you do something to him your family look at you wrong
I should have said that in a song cause nowadays when you say real shit you sound old
You'd rather hear me talk about how I'm rocking these shows and fucking all of these hoes that's fucking all of my bros
This fame ain't for fools
This rap shit is all about making people assume
Niggas do whatever to get a couple of views
It's more smoke and mirrors than blunts in bathrooms
Last year the world went down cause of Covid
A lot of niggas came up from scamming unemployment
Ran through they money turning hoes into girlfriends
Meanwhile I'm rapping like Kehlanis next boyfriend
I'm the best on earth
Fuck a bomb Charlie you gon need a bag for this verse
Keep it real Charlie I know that I'm probably the first to come up here and drop a verse and not sweat out my shirt
I make it look easy
Easy as cops lock us up for marijuana
A white man get slapped on the wrist so he gets pardoned
And that's what happens when your father went to college with Joana(?)
Cory Miller got more time than the cops that killed Briana
And Larry Hover just about to come on dont get me started
One day this justice system gon catch karma
Cause Big Meech dont sell more dope than big pharma

Symba

Inspired by everyone from JAY-Z to Steve Stoute and Steve Jobs, Bay Area-born and Los-Angeles based rapper Symbadove headfirst into the rap gamefollowing a rough upbringing. After a series of collaborations with Young Curt took off in the Bay, he headlined early Los Angeles shows on bills with the likes of YG, Tyga, and DJ Mustard as early as 2010. Symba struggled financially while recording, but eventually connected with friend and producer Nic Nac [Chris Brown, Kevin Gates] who encouraged him to move down to L.A. Upon arriving in the City of Angels, he turned heads with the 2 More Words mixtape in 2015, boasting collaborations with the likes of Marc E. Bassy and IamSu!. In addition to praise from XXL,Hypebeast dubbed it “a fiery collection of songs balancing club-ready hooks with deft, incisive narratives.” His grind paid off, and he inked a short-lived deal in 2017. A meeting with producer Cas inspired the next move. Early demos caught the attention of Atlantic Records who signed him during 2019. Now, his single “Serve” chronicles a key moment. Over a throwback bass line and guitar buzz, he recalls his first experiences trapping taught by his uncle and outlined in vivid verses with this “Hustling Song.” It sets the stage for a lot more to come in 2020, including his debut Don’t Run From R.A.P.
