Mac Critter, real name Daniel Bates, is an American rapper from Memphis, Tennessee. Mac Critter grew up in North Memphis and reps 7th Street Murda Squad. He is a close collaborator of fellow Memphis rapper Lil Double 0. In 2022, Critter signed to Gucci Mane’s The New 1017 label and has appeared on several songs with Gucci. On January 3, 2023, Mac Critter was arrested and charged with murder in the homicide of Markeith Taylor.
