Kesha - Praying

verse 1
Well, you almost had me fooled
Told me that i was nothing without you
Oh, but after everything you've done
I can thank you for how strong i have become

pre-chorus
'cause you brought the flames and you put me through hell
I had to learn how to fight for myself
And we both know all the truth i could tell
I'll just say this is i wish you farewell

chorus
I hope you're somewhere prayin', prayin'
I hope your soul is changin', changin'
I hope you find your peace
Falling on your knees, prayin'

verse 2
I'm proud of who i am
No more monsters, i can breathe again
Oh, and you said that i was done
Well, you were wrong and now the best is yet to come
'cause i can make it on my own
I don't need you, i found a strength i've never known
I'll bring thunder, i'll bring rain
When i'm finished, they won't even know your name

pre-chorus
You brought the flames and you put me through hell
And we both know all the truth i could tell
I'll just say this is i wish you farewell

chorus
I hope you're somewhere prayin', prayin'
I hope your soul is changin'
I hope you find your peace
Falling on your knees, prayin'

bridge
Sometimes i pray for you at night
Someday, maybe you'll see the light
Oh, some say, in life, you're gonna get what you give
But some things only god can forgive

chorus
Changin', changin'
I hope you find your peace
Falling on your knees, prayin'

Kesha

Kesha Rose Sebert, known simply as Kesha, is an American singer-songwriter who has made a significant impact on the music industry with her catchy pop anthems and powerful ballads. Born on March 1, 1987, Kesha comes from a musical family, with her mother Pebe Sebert also being a songwriter.

At the age of eighteen, Kesha signed a record deal with Dr. Luke’s Kemosabe Records in 2005. Her big break came when she was featured on Flo Rida’s hit single “Right Round” in 2009. This led to the release of her debut album, Animal, in 2010. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and spawned hits like “Tik Tok,” which broke records for its success.

Following the success of Animal, Kesha released the extended play Cannibal in 2010, which included hits like “We R Who We R” and “Blow.” She embarked on her Get Sleazy Tour in 2011, which saw her travel around the world performing for her fans. In 2012, Kesha released her sophomore album, Warrior, and continued to tour extensively.

In 2014, Kesha made headlines when she entered rehab to seek treatment for bulimia nervosa. After leaving treatment, she announced that she was changing her stage name from Ke$ha to Kesha. That same year, she filed a lawsuit against Dr. Luke, her longtime collaborator, alleging mistreatment and abuse. Unfortunately, the court ruled against Kesha, and she was unable to break free from her contract with Dr. Luke.

Despite the legal battles, Kesha made a triumphant return to music in 2016 with a feature on Zedd’s track “True Colors.” The following year, she released “Praying,” the lead single from her third studio album, Rainbow. The album, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, showcased Kesha’s growth as an artist and her resilience in the face of adversity.

Kesha continues to be a trailblazer in the music industry, using her platform to speak out on important issues and inspire her fans with her powerful music. With her unique sound and empowering lyrics, Kesha has solidified her place as one of the most influential artists of her generation.
