Intro: Chris Martin
Everybody okay back here?
This is the moment in the concert
When we show how good
Our band really could be
And we ask you to please welcome
The singing abilities of
Mr. William Champion

Verse 1: Will Champion
If sweet Death should ever conquer me
Let me know boys, let me know
If you hear him coming
Won't you let me flee?
Let me go boys, let me go

Verse 2: Will Champion
One day, Death is gonna conquer me
I'll be down where the water flows
If you hear him coming
Won't you let me flee?
Let me go boys, let me go

Harmonica Solo

Verse 3: Will Champion
One day, Death is gonna conquer me
Take me down to somewhere below
I hope sweet Heaven has a place for me
Let me know boys, let me know
Outro: Will Champion
If you hear him coming, won't you sing for me
That I just don't want to go?

Coldplay

Coldplay, a British rock band formed in 1997, has become one of the most commercially successful acts of the new millennium. The band was founded by University College London classmates Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, and Will Champion. Originally known as Pectoralz and then Starfish, they eventually settled on the name Coldplay, inspired by a student at their university.

Their debut album, Parachutes, released in 2000, initially drew comparisons to Radiohead for their elegant, melodic sound. However, Coldplay's ability to create emotional hooks and evolve their sound set them apart. Their second album, A Rush of Blood to the Head, showcased a more mature and sophisticated sound, earning them a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album.

Coldplay continued to experiment with their sound, incorporating rock elements in albums like X&Y and exploring electronic influences in albums such as Mylo Xyloto, Ghost Stories, and A Head Full of Dreams. Their fourth album, Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends, produced by Brian Eno, further broadened their sonic landscapes and garnered critical acclaim.

Despite their commercial success, Coldplay has faced criticism for their supposedly derivative nature and emotional lyrics. However, their ability to craft stadium-ready anthems has solidified their status as a powerhouse in the music industry.

With over 80 million albums sold, Coldplay has left a lasting impact on the rock music scene of the 21st century. Whether seen as a symbol of all that is wrong with modern rock or a talented band with a knack for creating memorable songs, Coldplay's influence on the music world is undeniable.
