Hojean - Without

verse 1
I don't wanna be alone forever
Maybe i'm not good enough to get her?
She's living high and i don't do whatever
Maybe i should call that would be never?
I'm not scared of heights but i can't get to you

pre-chorus
Maybe i'm just losing my own self for you?
If i was cool i'd want to do what others do
Say their feelings but they'll never tell the truth

chorus
I know you're waiting but i'm scared to say to you
What's on my mind 'cause i know you are doing fine
Without, without, without, without, without, me
Without, without, without, without, without, me

verse 2
Would you think twice if i told you what i knew?
Maybe you don't care but i might think you do
I'm so far below i can't catch up to you
Even when you stop i can't get over you
Oh, i'm not shy at all, but when it's you, i freeze

pre-chorus
Maybe there's a part of me you shouldn't see
If i was cool i'd want to do what others do
Say their feelings, but they'll never tell the truth
chorus
I know you're waiting but i'm scared to say to you
What's on my mind 'cause i know you are doing fine
Without, without, without, without, without, me
Without, without, without, without, without, me
I wish i could have a higher self-esteem
(have a higher self-esteem)
Saying that you love me would be like a dream, oh
But i'm without, without, without, without, without, you
Without, without, without, without, without, you
I know you're waiting but i'm scared to say to you
What's on my mind 'cause i know you are doing fine
Without, without, without, without, without, me
Without, without, without, without, without, me

Hojean

Georgia-based independent R&B artist Justin Hojean Yi, better known by the moniker Hojean, is a bit of an anomaly in the indie music world. His Instagram is filled with close-up selfies, silly edits, and a sizable amount of caps lock and exclamation points. The best words to describe him would be honest and wholehearted — Hojean isn’t at all about putting on a front or playing up a “mysterious artist” archetype.

Originally from New York, the 21-year-old Korean-American singer, writer, producer, and visual artist handles every aspect of his music production and promotion from the comfort of his bedroom. Fans of luminaries like Omar Apollo and Pink Sweat$ will enjoy his music, which is driven by pop and R&B sensibilities.

As an artist who almost exclusively sings about love, it’s no surprise that Hojean’s story starts with a simple feeling. He recalls a specific moment during his teenage years, when he’d just transferred to a new high school and noticed that the girl he was crushing on was volunteering for the talent show. Drawn to the opportunity to make new friends and impress his crush, Hojean stepped on stage for the first time.
