Rowlan - Reflection

verse 1: ashton secoya
Yo
The road to hell is always paved with good intentions
Satan watched my every move
Man on a moon a man on missions
I feel distant
Trapped between loving myself and someone else
And it gets harder charter through these unknown waters
But i can't ignore my karma
Got my heart up on my sleeve
I still can't give you all of me because
I'm still tryna pick the pieces up
Of that man that i used to be
Between you and me
We just sons without fathers
That turned into alcoholics
So we drowning our sorrow
In the substances yeah
Trying to figurе out
Does any love still live hеre
Looking for the answers in the bottoms of bottles
They say that void inside my heart is a bottomless pit
But i feel better when the drugs hit now ain't that some shit
When i lie to myself
Say i'm fine by myself
But i look in the mirror i can't find myself

chorus: ashton secoya
I been drifting by the way side
All the good things tend to take time
When will my reflection show
When i learn to let my blessings grow
I been drifting by the way side
All the good things tend to take time
When will my reflection show
When i learn to let my blessings grow

verse 2: rowlan
My reflection been kinda janky
I'm staring and know it ain't me
I think at some point we lost me
They'll never know what it cost me
I stay in touch with the spirit
But i can't get the devil off me
Guess thats why they call me rowlan
Cause nobody reaching tommy
I tried and i tried
But you would never know the effort
Chase a dream your whole life
And it don't ever mean you'll get her
A sweater for the cold days and concrete for the seat
I sit myself in peace and pour the bottle on the street
Empty shit for the homies
Reflecting on the things they told me
My angels just miss the old me
And they know i do too
And i've always kept on growing
But never out grow you
And you don't even know my demons
But promise they know you, they do
Yeah, no for real they do
No for real they do
And know our times are through
I wish that you were here
To watch it all come true

chorus: ashton secoya, rowlan
I been drifting by the way side
All the good things tend to take time
When will my reflection show
When i learn to let my blessings grow
I been drifting by the way side
All the good things tend to take time
When will my reflection show
When i learn to let my blessings grow

Rowlan

Thomas Rowland (born March 18, 1993), known professionally as Rowlan, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer. Born in Barnstable, Massachusetts. Rowlan initially gained recognition through putting out a remix to Mac Miller’s “Nikes On My Feet”. The song did over 500,000 total streams over its’ first three years of being released, with over 100,000 views on the visual via his Youtube channel. He since has put out 100+ songs in single and EP format much of which has helped him gradually build a cult like following with his fans. Rowlan moved to LA at age 22 to pursue his music career from a small town, with hopes to build connections, and meet creatives on a similar path. He later that year met his producer/engineer Cesar Moreno, and got connected with Mike Wingless to produce his first record to bypass a million Spotify streams (4.1m) with “Hold It Down”. He went on to make tracks “Why”, “Champ”, and “Stories” which all passed the million streams on Spotify. In 2017 internet sensation, GaryVee found interest in Rowlan and had a sit down with him, which then led to Rowlan making Gary’s theme song “Born Hustler”, the Hustler’s anthem. Self taught recording, producing, mixing, mastering, graphic designing, Rowlan started heavily focusing on being able to work at every piece of his brand so deadlines would just become sleep, or no sleep.

Rowlan is fully independent as of July 2021.
