Time - Soul Wound

To Rate
If your soul is wounded ask what is it consumed with?
Desire is doom, in the ego it's rooted
Blood red horizon the sky is polluted
With fires the forest cry cause the mountains got looted
Hurricanes, typhoons, apocalypse looms
Bringing death and destruction like when mayflowers bloom
Drills like fangs sucking all the oil
Single use plastic stew as the ocean starts to boil
Forever chemicals get poured down the sink
The frogs get diseased, the coral reef gets blеached
Microplastic beach, the lifеguard is deceased
They greenwash for money while emissions increase
Crop fail no cereal in the dust bowl
Rust belt broke the jobs left with the dust though
Black lung cough, hacking from the crushed coal
The barb wire poke we got tetanus in the blood though
GMO bread, packed in the sack lunch
The kids in the coltan mine haven't had lunch
Just so you could minecraft in a pixel mine shaft
It ain't a game in the Mediterranean in a life raft
FEMA ain't helping, the ice caps melting
An 8 year old told me the future's overwhelming
6th extinction, birds and bees dying
Every year's the hottest year the fryer pans frying
Rename flint Ukraine and fix them pipes
The contradictions remain but water is life
The rain has acid and the tap has lead
There's plastic on Everest and in the sea bed
All the fish gone they got stuck in a net
Kind of like us just scrolling on the net
Social media that's why they call it the web
Cuz you're stuck on it, the spider's fangs in your neck

Time

Time was a rock band from Yugoslavia that made a significant impact on the music scene in the 1970s. Formed in 1971 by Dado Topić, who had previously been a member of Korni Grupa, the band quickly gained a following with their unique blend of progressive rock and jazz influences.

The original lineup of Time included Dado Topić on vocals, Tihomir “Pop” Asanović on organ, Vedran Božić on guitar, Mario Mavrin on bass, Ratko Divjak on drums, and Brane Lambert Živković on piano and flute. Over the years, the lineup changed frequently, but the core members remained dedicated to creating innovative and captivating music.

Time released three albums during their time together, each showcasing their musical versatility and talent. Their first album featured a prominent Hammond organ, piano, and flute, while their second album had a harder sound with several ballads. The third album introduced a jazz-funk production style, further expanding their musical repertoire.

Some of Time's most popular songs include “Da li znaš da te volim”, “Rock ‘n’ roll u Beogradu”, and “Istina mašina”, which showcased their ability to create memorable and engaging music that resonated with audiences.

After disbanding in late 1977, Dado Topić embarked on a successful solo career, but the legacy of Time continued to live on. In 1998 and 2001, the band reunited for a limited number of live concerts, delighting fans with their timeless music and energetic performances.

Today, Time still plays together as a rock trio, continuing to captivate audiences with their unique sound and enduring musical legacy. Their influence can be heard in the work of many contemporary artists, solidifying their place in the history of Yugoslavian rock music.
