spoken word
I wanna see those hands, c'mon

intro
So the story goes
This is a tale that must be told
For what could be your destiny, you never know

I never meant to be here
I never even tried
But until you know, when you're lost and down
You come to trouble in time

verse 2
It was a cold december
A rip city night
In a steel toe rage, made a big mistake
Now i'll be doing time

pre-chorus
I was runnin' with the order
I was runnin' out of time (running out of time)
Now, for me, there is no quarter
I don't wanna bе here
I don't wanna die
See slash liveget tickets as low as $19 chorus
Sеrvin' 30 years to life
What i did, i can't deny
Now the sorrow in my heart will never fade
I remember it so well
The night i sent that boy to hell
Lord, i'm sorry for the error of my way

verse 3
They sent me on a mission
Out to earn my stripes
Shoulda known damn well
When the curb stomp fell
Things would never be right

I was runnin' out of time (runnin' out of time)
Now, for me, there is no quarter
I don't want to be here
How many nights i've cried

Servin' 30 years to life
What i did, i can't deny
Now the sorrow in my heart will never fade
I remember it so well
The night i sent that boy to hell
Lord, i'm sorry for the error of my way

Now i know, now i know
I was wrong and i can’t let this go

Now i’m growin' old
18 years or more to go
I waste way in this cage
I'm all alone

That’s how the story goes
This is a tale that must be told
For what could be your destiny
You never know

pre-chorus
'cause when you're runnin' with the order
You're only runnin' out of time (runnin' out of time)
Now, for me, there is no quarter
I didn't wanna be here
I don't wanna die
chorus
Serving 30 years to life
What i did, i can't deny

I remember it so well
It's too late to save myself
Lord, i'm sorry for the error of my way
Alright

(so the story goes)
(this is a tale that must be told)
Lord, i'm sorry for the error of my way

Saul "Slash" Hudson was born on July 23, 1965, in Hampstead, London, England. He moved to Los Angeles with his family at a young age and it was there that he discovered his passion for music. Slash was drawn to the guitar from an early age and soon began honing his skills, eventually becoming one of the most talented and revered guitarists in the music industry.

Slash rose to fame as the lead guitarist for the iconic rock band Guns N' Roses. After leaving Guns N' Roses in the mid-1990s, Slash went on to form the band Velvet Revolver, which also included former GNR members Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum.
