Short Story Picture Book - If You Miss the Morning

To Rate
If you miss the morning
I will remind you of all moments you slept through
And we could watch the day fall of the horizon at the end of the day

Repeating it all, without realising
Our memories do not do us any favours. We will end
Up back here watching the light over the water

Moving through the mess we have left behind
Maybe we can figure out how we got here
But I’m never sure when the moment comes
That this was not the starting point

Was there time before this? Was there a day
When I did not wait for you at the waterside
I know if I missed you we’d only start again
Running from this place only brings me back again
