My Epic - High Color

To Rate
No sleight of hand, no twist of fate
No trick of light. no secret rite. no sacred space

I'll be at the far end, free of every pretense
We can tell the truth here I can tell the difference

Infrared and evergreen
Indigo and every shade between
I'm catching you in high color
And I've never seen this side before
You look really beautiful Loriella

No case to make. no ax to grind
No turn of phrase. no code to break. no scales to blind

I'll play you a fanfare any key you like, dear
Black sheep in a blue moon we can fill our own shoes

Infrared and evergreen
Indigo and every shade between
I'm catching you in high color, and
I'm captured by the light of it
Everything is luminous Loriella

You and I, we can find our way from here
You and I
You and I
Couldn't sing an old song
Had to make my own
I used certain phrases only you would know

Evergreen
You're glowing every shade between
I'm catching you in high color
And I'll never find the words for this
All that i can whisper is
Loriella

Loriella, whenever you're around
Loriella, forever, here and now

Loriella, whenever you're around
Loriella, forever, here and now
Loriella

My Epic

My Epic is a post-hardcore rock band from Charlotte, NC that was founded in 2005. Their sound ranges from the acoustic guitar picking with post-rock undertones that characterized their EP “Broken Voice” to the crashing, urgent, atmospheric sounds of full-lengths “Yet” and “Behold”. Another defining aspect of My Epic is lyricist and frontman Aaron Stone’s talent for penning deeply personal lyrics that often delve into the struggles with relating to God, ourselves, and others.
A self-described “band of Christians”, My Epic has stated that one of their main purposes in writing and playing music is creating what Stone calls “Thin Spaces” – places where listeners can connect to God in the most direct way and with the fewest distractions possible.
