Intro
Pose for a portrait
I won't remember anyway
Swim with endorphins
But i haven't seen them here for days

Chorus
I look both ways when i jump over the moon
Lot of lock jaws drop when I open the room
Go car never go off when I menaurve
Hit the nail on the head down a couple of screws

Verse 1
Always in my way home
Off these keys like pessos
Plug came through like draino
Devils still wear halos
She would take two just to tango
Dancing with the demons on her

Verse 2
Remembеr that old chapter we read
You know adam and еve
Can't believe
Should have gone-------- matter atleast
Gave her apples
Should have gone with that new apple release
Now please let me freakin sike this chapel in peace

Pre-Chorus
Life a big game like a raffle ------
I'm still alive its a baffling thing
Ten different eye quite a battle for king
10 different dimes in this castle with me

Chorus
I look both ways when i jump over the moon
Lot of lock jaws drop when I open the room
Go car never go off when I menaurve
Hit the nail on the head down a couple of screws

edit bio
Derek Pope is a musician who has taken the road less traveled in pursuit of his unique sound. Born and raised in Oakland, California, Pope discovered his passion for music at a young age. In high school, he delved into beat production, spending countless hours perfecting his craft and laying the foundation for what would become his signature sound.

It wasn't until 2015 that Pope decided to experiment with singing, a decision that would ultimately lead him to redefine his musical style. After creating a few demos, Pope realized that he had stumbled upon something special. His lyrics, particularly the line "Looking at the ceiling, thinking I could make a million," resonated with listeners and set the stage for what was to come.

In 2015, Pope released his debut EP, Sunken City Redux, which featured the hit single "Raincoats." The track showcased Pope's ability to seamlessly blend elements of indie rock, pop, and trap, creating a sound that was uniquely his own. With his self-produced beats and introspective lyrics, Pope has managed to carve out a niche for himself in the music industry, pushing the boundaries of what is considered mainstream.

Derek Pope's music is a reflection of his journey as an artist, constantly evolving and challenging the status quo. With each new release, he continues to push the envelope and defy expectations, solidifying his place as a rising star in the music world.
