Justice - Roll of Honour

Copied!edit Lyrics
original text at lyrnow.com/1069409
Chorus
Read the Roll of Honour
For Ireland's bravest men
We must be united
In memory of the ten
England, you're a bastard, bastard, bastard!
Don't think that you have won
We will never be defeated
While Ireland has its sons

Verse 1
In those dreary H-Block cages
Ten brave young Irish men lay
Hungering for justice
While their young lives edged away
For their rights as Irish soldiers
And to free their native land
He stood beside thеir leader
The gallant Bobby Sands!

Chorus
So rеad the Roll of Honour
For Ireland's bravest men
We must be united
In memory of the ten
England, you're a bastard, bastard, bastard!
Don't think that you have won
We will never be defeated
While Ireland has its sons!

Verse 2
Now they mourn Hughes in Bellaghy
Ray McCreesh in Armagh's hills
In those narrow streets of Derry
We miss O'Hara still
They so proudly their young lives
Or to break Britannia's hold
Their names will be remembered
As history unfolds!

Chorus
So read the Roll of Honour
For Ireland's bravest men
We must be united
In memory of the ten
England, you're a bastard, bastard, bastard!
Don't think that you have won
We will never be defeated
While Ireland has its sons!

Verse 3
Through the war torn streets of Ulster
The black flags did sadly wave
To salute ten Irish martyrs
The bravest of the brave
Joe McDonnell, Martin Hurson, Kevin Lynch, Kieran Doherty
They gave their lives for freedom
With Thomas McElwee!

Chorus
So read the Roll of Honour
For Ireland's bravest men
We must be united
In memory of the ten
England, you're a bastard, bastard, bastard!
Don't think that you have won
We will never be defeated
While Ireland has its sons!

Verse 4
Michael Devine from Derry
You were the last to die
With your nine brave companions
A martyred dead you lie
Your soul's cry out "Remember!
Our deaths were not in vain
So fight on and make our homeland
A nation once again!"

Chorus
So read the Roll of Honour
For Ireland's bravest men
We must be united
In memory of the ten
England, you're a bastard, bastard, bastard!
Don't think that you have won
We will never be defeated
While Ireland has its sons!
Oh, we'll never be defeated
While Ireland has its sons!

Biography

edit bio
Justice (stylised as Jus†ice) is a French Grammy-award winning electronic music duo consisting of Gaspard Augé (born 21 May 1979 in Besançon, Franche-Comté) and Xavier de Rosnay (born 2 July 1982 in Ozoir-la-Ferrière, Ile de France). The duo is the most successful group on Ed Banger Records and is managed by the label’s head, Pedro Winter. Justice is known for incorporating a strong rock and indie influence into its music and image.

The band’s debut album † was released in June 2007 to critical acclaim. The album was later nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Electronic/Dance Album. The band’s debut is now widely regarded as one of the best and most influential electronic records of all time, landing a spot at 24th greatest EDM Album by Rolling Stone.

In 2008, Justice released the album A Cross the Universe, which consisted of a live recording from their 2008 tour and featured reworks of almost all of their previously released tracks. This album was released alongside a self-directed documentary film of the same name that followed them through part of their tour in the United States.

The band’s remix of the MGMT song “Electric Feel” won the Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical in 2009.

In September 2009, it was announced that Justice would be moving to WMG/Atlantic’s newly relaunched Elektra Records label. The band reportedly started to work on their † follow-up in mid-2010. The band released its sophomore project, Audio, Video, Disco in October 2011, to later release their second live album Access All Arenas in May 2013, a sonic reboot of older material, and live mixes of the newly released Audio, Video, Disco.

Justice released their second live album, Access All Arenas in 2013, which featured reworks from their first two studio albums.

Their third studio album, Woman, was released in November 2016, taking more inspiration in sonics from funk, and disco than ever.

On August 24, 2018, Justice released their fourth studio album, Woman Worldwide, which featured reworks of releases from their entire discography. This album was intended to be a studio version of the live mix they performed on the tour of the same name, rather than a recording of a live performance (like A Cross the Universe and Access All Arenas). Woman Worldwide later went on to win the Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album in 2019.
