Ian Santillano - Entropy

Copied!edit Lyrics
original text at lyrnow.com/1150179
Forgive me world for I have sinned
I have wronged and I descend
Into the hell of my making
The shadow work I have ahead
May be long but I’ll persist
Into the heaven that’s shaping
Friends show me how to resist
Falling from my best interest
Because life is for the taking
Sitting at home I reflect
And I type my own script
And I
Chorus:
I just wanna write my songs and
What goes wrong is
What was meant to be
I just wanna save my face
I’ll fall with grace
My life is entropy

Sing with me
Ah ah ah ah
Sing with me

Guess I’m second guessing how I feel
All the things I used to know were real
All that I know is that I am full of questions
Wondering why I
I haven’t learned from my lessons (yuh)

In and out back again
Feel like I’m living life on the edge
Get pushed off get back up
Am I not even doing enough
Miss the stage I would play
Took that for granted but it’s okay
It’s okay it’s okay
My heart will break again someday
For now I’ll take it
It’s a new day still unarranged
But all I’m saying

Chorus:
I just write wanna my songs and
What goes wrong is
What was meant to be
I just wanna save my face
I’ll fall with grace
My life is entropy

Sing with me
Ah ah ah ah
Sing with me
Ah ah ah ah
Sing with me yeah
Ah ah ah ah
Sing with me
Ah ah ah ah

Sing with me yeah

Biography

edit bio
From Hayward, California, multi-instrumentalist Ian Santillano started teaching himself how to play a real guitar after years of playing Guitar Hero. Soon after, Ian’s cousin introduced him to John Mayer’s “Continuum” and Ian’s life changed forever. Discovering D'Angelo’s “Voodoo” and later Kendrick Lamar’s “To Pimp A Butterfly” along with all the musicians involved in making those records would play a huge role in shaping Ian’s melodic-funky-soulful sound. In college, Ian would sharpen his music skills through hours of practice and private lessons in the Santa Clara University music program, learning jazz and music theory – all whilst getting a degree in computer engineering. Now at 24, Ian explores his own artistry by writing, arranging, producing, and recording original music with his guitars, his instruments, and his voice. Lush pads, funky drums, dreamy vocals, and aggressive guitar solos become a bed for Ian to lyricise his message of honesty and self experience – whether it be about love, indecision, or admitting one’s faults. Ian has a sound all his own: “Greasy Mayer” – melodic funky soul singer-songwriter with a touch of jazz vocabulary.
