Chance Emerson - Copperhead

Copied!edit Lyrics
original text at lyrnow.com/1467736
Verse 1
❲?❳ said quit wasting time
Get on your feet and join the factory line
There is a war on the obsolete
If you don't buy in you're incomplete
You're at a school go cut your teeth
On something useful that can make you green
With all your friends (with all your friends)
God damn this place (god damn this place)
Enter the workforce of endless days

Refrain
I used to think that if I just worked hard
I'd catch the fables and the shooting stars
But now I see that that's just not the truth
Perhaps it's all under lock and youth

Chorus
I found my summer clothes in a pile out in the yard
Next to the white picket fencе with all my old guitars
The sign across the porch says evеrything must go
I'm just another copperhead who's selling out his soul

Verse 2
A quiet voice inside my heart
Is saying "Son you better think real hard"
What good is life but to create?
What good is feeling? What good is fate?
So make it yours, this twisted fight
Do what you want and make the most of time
I'll sing it out (I'll sing it out)
I'll sing it true (I'll sing it true)
Until my chest aches and lungs fall through

Refrain
I used to think that if I just worked hard
I'd catch the fables and the shooting stars
But now I see that that's just not the truth
Perhaps it's all under lock and youth

Chorus
I found my summer clothes in a pile out in the yard
Next to the white picket fence with all my old guitars
The sign across the porch says everything must go
I'm just a copperhead who's selling out his soul

Verse 3
I shed my skin now baby
Will I still be welcomed home if I'm ❲?❳ out as a rolling stone?
If I might drown don't save me
Gotta go make ❲?❳
Might as well

Outro
I found my summer clothes in a pile out in the yard
Next to the white picket fence with all my old guitars
The sign across the porch says everything must go
I'm just another copperhead who's selling out his soul

I found my summer clothes in a pile out in the yard
Next to the white picket fence with all my old guitars
The sign across the porch says everything must go
I'm just another copperhead who's selling out his soul
I found my summer clothes in a pile out in the yard
Next to the white picket fence with all my old guitars
The sign across the porch says everything must go
I'm just a copperhead who's selling out his soul
