BROCKHAMPTON - downside
Yeah, go sit out
Cold soul through, black know 'em, don't got no tools for now
They both sit out
A-T-L, we grab him 'fore the dawgs come out, bouncin' out
What am I supposed to do when we feel down and out?
Wonderful, hate that a bitch stare'll make me feel so magical, like
You would sit back, hit that three now, got a three and O
Got four and then my Deage come out, weavin' out
Nothing really ever come easy now
Grind it down 'til the world feel unbelievable
Leave you now, I can't even—now, now, now, now
★ Chorus: Ryan Beatty ★
Yeah, that's the downside (Downside) of keeping it in
That's the downside (Downside) of playing pretend
I'm not shining for somebody for a love in the dark
I'm working too hard
And that's the downside (Downside) of keeping it in
That's the downside (Downside) of playing pretend
I'm not shining for somebody for a love in the dark
I'm working too hard
That's the downside
★ Verse 2: Matt Champion ★
First couple racks, just spend it on some new Chanel (Ayy)
Caught a whiff and now, ooh, got that new smell
Pushing in that G-Wagen, I wonder how that coupe feel
How is you feel? Uh, grinding too, still
★ Chorus: Ryan Beatty ★
Yeah, that's the downside (Downside) of keeping it in
That's the downside (Downside) of playing pretend
I'm not shining for somebody for a love in the dark
I'm working too hard
That's the downside (Downside) of keeping it in
That's the downside (Downside) of playing pretend
I'm not shinin' for somebody for a love in the dark
I'm working too hard
That's the downside
★ Outro: Ryan Beatty ★
That's the downside
That's the downside
Shinin' for somebody for a love in the dark
I'm workin' too hard

Biography
The band consists of a diverse roster of creatives, including musicians, graphic designers, producers, and videographers, who come together to create a mix of content. Named after the street that Kevin Abstract grew up on in Corpus Christi, TX, BROCKHAMPTON was founded out of a desire for connection and friendship.
In 2015, BROCKHAMPTON gained recognition with the release of their song “Dirt” on A-Trak’s Fool’s Gold Records, marking a breakthrough moment in their career. The following year, they released their debut mixtape, ALL-AMERICAN TRASH, and in 2017, they gained popularity with the release of their debut album, SATURATION, followed by SATURATION II and SATURATION III later that year.
After signing with RCA Records in 2018, the band faced challenges with the dismissal of rapper Ameer Vann due to sexual assault allegations. Despite this setback, BROCKHAMPTON released their fourth album, iridescence, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart. The album marked the beginning of a new trilogy titled THE BEST YEARS OF OUR LIVES.
In 2019, BROCKHAMPTON released their fifth full-length record, GINGER, which showcased their versatility and creativity as a group. With a lineup that includes members such as Kevin Abstract, Matt Champion, Merlyn Wood, Dom McLennon, Russell “Joba” Boring, and more, BROCKHAMPTON continues to push boundaries and redefine the boyband genre with their unique sound and collaborative spirit.
