Biography
The original lineup of The Wiggles consisted of founding members Greg Page, Anthony Field, Murray Cook, and Jeff Fatt. Together, they created a unique brand of children's entertainment that combined rock and pop music with fun and silly lyrics. However, in 2006, Greg Page retired from the group due to health issues, leading to a reevaluation of the group's lineup.
In 2012, Jeff Fatt and Murray Cook also retired from The Wiggles, leaving Anthony Field as the sole remaining founding member. Field then recruited a new, younger lineup consisting of Lachlan Gillespie, Simon Pryce, and Emma Watkins. Despite the changes, The Wiggles continued to thrive and captivate audiences with their infectious music and high-energy performances.
The Wiggles' success has been recognized in the music industry, with the group being named Australia's highest entertainment earners in the late 2000s. Business Review Weekly ranked them number one for four consecutive years, highlighting their popularity and financial success. The Wiggles have continued to create new music, tour around the world, and bring joy to children everywhere with their fun and engaging performances.
