“Artist, rapper, human -ing”Growing up, Honey Kilo escaped the chaos that surrounded her by creatively building other worlds to explore. Her interest in music sparked during the rise of the larger-than-life personas of Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne. After discovering more niche artists like Childish Gambino, Kyle, and Chance the Rapper, it became apparent that there was a space in hip-hop for her unique self-expression.
In 2020, Honey Kilo first caught attention online as the educational influencer behind “Finesse Your Education”. This platform would eventually grow to over 300,000 students across social media and land her major brand deals.
Despite the success of this platform, Honey kilo remained an artist at heart. In 2022, she attempted to share her music with a much smaller audience. This attempt, however, failed beautifully after a quick snippet of her first song shot up to over 1 million views.
