Time - Run Towards The Fangs

Let me paint the picture like tobocman or emory
Battleship my enemies like the yemenis
Psilocybin vision, dmt documentary
My brain's archive full of painful memories
I drowned in a k hole, swimming in ketamine
Cooking in the lab like pinkman with the phetamine
Lost a lot of friends over fettuccine cheddar cheese
Almost got to the top they locked me in the mezzanine
Most people have dreams they're afraid of achieving
My friend just died this is really me grieving
I guess we're all really in the process of leaving
Or we're arriving space time's deceiving
I don't really know if i'm writing or bleeding
I don't really know if i'm rapping or receiving
Some live for struggle cuz they're afraid of succeeding
That drama's their drug sometimes attack is retreating
The sage smoked hookah from a sacred glass
He said in the book of your life burn the pages from the past
A blessing ignored often becomes a curse
A curse confronted often becomes reversed
All i learned in school is that the teachers were depressed
They celebrated murderers and silenced the oppressed
When diallo was killed i got hip-hop for respect
I started seeing history i got a tape by dead prez
That's when i understood between teaching and learning
They taught for control the results were concerning
My teacher said i'd never go to college stop searching
She said you'll either be in jail or walmart working
This is when i learned the lesson of exploiting and earning
She was right i got arrested the court was adjourning
I started washing pots in the hospital my hands burning
I found the fact that i proved her right to be disturbing
That kitchen was my dojo i was rapping every night though
Sharpening my sword trying to find a fire flow
Met awareness after work started cooking in the lab
We did litterture first then dropped the calm. collab
The handcuffs came again, my lungs collapsed again
It's funny how losing really taught me to win
I guess i was on paulo's path even back then
I was focused on drama the law of attraction
Now i run towards the fangs, i fear no reaction

edit bio
Time was a rock band from Yugoslavia that made a significant impact on the music scene in the 1970s. Formed in 1971 by Dado Topić, who had previously been a member of Korni Grupa, the band quickly gained a following with their unique blend of progressive rock and jazz influences.

The original lineup of Time included Dado Topić on vocals, Tihomir “Pop” Asanović on organ, Vedran Božić on guitar, Mario Mavrin on bass, Ratko Divjak on drums, and Brane Lambert Živković on piano and flute. Over the years, the lineup changed frequently, but the core members remained dedicated to creating innovative and captivating music.

Time released three albums during their time together, each showcasing their musical versatility and talent. Their first album featured a prominent Hammond organ, piano, and flute, while their second album had a harder sound with several ballads. The third album introduced a jazz-funk production style, further expanding their musical repertoire.

Some of Time's most popular songs include “Da li znaš da te volim”, “Rock ‘n’ roll u Beogradu”, and “Istina mašina”, which showcased their ability to create memorable and engaging music that resonated with audiences.

After disbanding in late 1977, Dado Topić embarked on a successful solo career, but the legacy of Time continued to live on. In 1998 and 2001, the band reunited for a limited number of live concerts, delighting fans with their timeless music and energetic performances.

Today, Time still plays together as a rock trio, continuing to captivate audiences with their unique sound and enduring musical legacy. Their influence can be heard in the work of many contemporary artists, solidifying their place in the history of Yugoslavian rock music.
