INXS - Original Sin
You might know of the original sin
And you might know how to play with fire
But did you know of the murder committed
In the name of love? (Yeah)
You thought what a pity
★ Chorus ★
Dream on white boy, white boy
Dream on black girl, black girl
And wake up to a brand new day
To find your dreams have washed away
★ Verse 2 ★
There was a time when I did not care
And there was a time when the facts did stare
There is a dream, and it's held by many
Well, I'm sure you had to see
It’s open arms
★ Chorus ★
Dream on white boy, white boy
Dream on black girl, black girl
And wake up to a brand new day
To find your dreams have washed away
★ Instrumental break ★
★ Repeat Verse 1 ★
You might know of the original sin
And you might know how to play with fire
But did you know of the murder committed
In the name of love? (Yeah)
You thought what a pity
★ Chorus ★
Dream on white boy, white boy
Dream on black girl, black girl
And wake up to a brand new day
★ Chorus ★
Dream on black boy, black boy
Dream on white girl, white girl
And wake up to a brand new day
To find your dreams have washed away
★ Chorus ★
Dream on black boy, black boy
Dream on white girl, white girl
And wake up to a brand new day
To find your dreams have washed away
★ Outro ★
Dream on, play with fire
White boy, black girl
Dream on, in the name of love
Black boy, white girl
Dream on, white boy, black girl
Black boy, white girl
Dream on, in the name of love, yeah
You thought what a pity
Yeah
Original sin
Mmmm, hey, hey
Red, it’s over, it’s over

Biography
Their breakthrough came with the release of their third studio album, Shabooh Shoobah, in 1982, which featured the hit singles "The One Thing" and "Don't Change". INXS' commercial success continued with the release of their fourth album, The Swing, in 1984, and their fifth album, Listen Like Thieves, in 1985.
Their most successful album, Kick, was released in 1987 and produced four Top 10 US singles, including the number one hit "Need You Tonight". The band won five MTV Music Awards for the video "Need You Tonight/Mediate" in 1988.
After a break in 1989 to focus on side projects, INXS released their seventh album, X, in 1990, which featured the US Top 10 singles "Suicide Blonde" and "Disappear". They continued to release albums throughout the 1990s, including Welcome to Wherever You Are (1992) and Full Moon, Dirty Hearts (1993).
Tragically, lead singer Michael Hutchence died of an apparent suicide in 1997. The band took a break before returning with new lead vocalist J.D. Fortune, who won the reality TV show Rock Star: INXS in 2005. They released their eleventh studio album, Switch, later that year.
INXS continued to tour and release music with various guest vocalists until they announced their retirement from touring in 2012. They expressed their gratitude to their fans for their support throughout their 35-year career. With over 50 million albums sold worldwide, INXS left a lasting impact on the music industry and will always be remembered for their iconic sound and energetic performances.
