Roar - 1.5x

Modern life is radicalized at 1.5 times
At 1.5 times
Anxious vibes are optimized at 1.5 times
At 1.5 times

Feeling good, doing great
You know me, I can't complain

Feeling good, doing great
You know me, I can't complain

It's not enough to fill your plate
The more you have, the more that you feel you're entitled to take

Chewing gum that lost its taste
A great escape to the same place
Change the rules but not the game
Don't conflate your fear with hate
Chewing gum that lost its tastе
A great escape to thе same place
Change the rules, but not the game
Don't conflate violence with strength
Chewing gum that lost its taste
A great escape to the same place

Roar is the project of Arizona-based musician Owen Evans. After the disbandment of his previous band Asleep In The Sea (for whom “Duck and Ape” was originally written before being reinterpreted as “Duck Or Ape”), Owens decided to take up the mantle of songwriting and producing alone. Eventually, in 2016, Evans became the touring drummer for fellow Arizona-based folk-punk band AJJ. This was the same year that he released his first full-length album as Roar, Impossible Animals.
