Grinspoon - Living In The City

Copied!edit Lyrics
original text at lyrnow.com/1993681
Verse One
Well I'm a son of a preacher man
Rolled up with nothing but a red right hand
Watched the green light change from black to yellow
Stand like a sheep waiting to follow

Chorus
These lines make me feel
Like I’m in heels
And we both know it will never be like before
But you make this seem
Like it's all a dream
I could never go back to where we once were pretty
Cause now we're living in the city, yeah

Verse Two
She’s a daughter of a wisе old bum
Joker and the thief and a privatе nun
Never want to have to get a golden ring
I've got the keys to the city and a song to sing

Chorus
These lines make me feel
Like I'm in heels
And we both know it will never be like before
And you make this seem
Like it's all a dream
I could never go back to where we once were pretty
Cause now we're living in the city, yeah

Instrumental
Ooh yeah
Alright

Chorus
These lines make me feel
Like I'm in heels
And we both know it will never be like before
And you make this seem
Like it's all a dream
I could never go back
Could never go back

These lines make me feel
Like I'm in heels
And we both know it will never be like before
And you make this seem
Like it’s all a dream
I could never go back to where we once were pretty
Cause now we’re living in the city, yeah

Outro
Ooh yeah
Alright, alright, alright
Ooh yeah
Yeah, living in the city
