PhalaiR - Thing Called Love

Copied!edit Lyrics
original text at lyrnow.com/1995730
Yeah, the thing that i've been praying for, the thing that i've been hurting for is not called love
The thing that i've been praying for, the thing that i've been hurting for is not called love
I don't hear myself when i hear it back
They will go without me when i'm looking back

I will not return till i find it
Might just be in my head, yeah, it might be
I don't like the thought of getting left behind
I'd rather hold the map so that that never happens

I had to face my demons for that plain-inclined
But i ran out of time, too many to find
Holding on to something holds me back from buzzing
Who am i afraid of, thou or i

Holding on to something holds me back from budging
The envy in their heart kills joy for nothing
And i think about sharon and the
The faith that she had in me

For i am not living up
To the man, i know i could be
I'll tell you what this pressure did for me
All of my success seems to break me

And i don't got no time to be lazy
I'm spiraling again, someone save me
Walk a mile in my burks, you feel pain from the first
Step you take, i'll state the stats and remind you of my worth

Cause i just need
I just need
Honestly
Walk a mile in my burks, you feel pain from the first
Step you take, i'll take the stats and remind you of my worth
Cause i just need
I just need
Honestly

Now i was making, camping in fl
Borderline was gon fail
All my niggas dropping out, needed somebody to tell
Me i was gon' be well, me i was gon' be held

As a creator of a melody, they bargain and sell
I was in gross need, cycling uber eats to get groceries
Looked at the money my mama gave me and it broke me
Make me feel like less of a man, i'm tired of holding her hand

Gotta give growing up a real chance
Am i gon' be that big brother i wish i had in my family
Or am i just too young
Or i'ma be the legacy i was afraid to become
No i'ma step up to the plate and i'ma sell diamonds
Cause what?
Walk a mile in my births, you feel pain from the first
Step you take, i'll take the stats and remind you my worth
Cause i just need, i just need, honestly
Walk a mile in my births, you feel pain from the first
Step you take, i'll take the stats and remind you my worth
Cause i just need, i just need, honestly
It's this thing called love

I know i make it seem like i got it all
When i don't
Can't let them ever see me fall and lose hope
I gotta rise above the odds

Even when i'm lost
For the things i lost and found again
Called
Love
