Biography

Luv Docta is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Hailing from Chicago, Illinois, Luv Docta is an Independent artist. Luv runs his own independent label, Mud Life Records, along with his partner, YBG Tsunami.



Delivering his first Single in 2014, Luv Docta has been continually putting out tracks from that point onward. With his main genre of music being Pop and R&B, Luv Docta had to find his own path to being different amongst all his peer Pop and R&B producers.

Luv Docta came about after going through depression and a heartbreaking relationship of 7yrs. He mentally had to prepare himself for taking the upcoming days by the day and finding peace within. It wasn’t until the consistency of going to the gym and incorporating music into his routine that he found Luv and peace.

At times Luv Docta takes a look back at his life, experiences, and realized that all his life he’s been in relationships! Or at least since Middle school. He tends to have given these Women all the time in the world and keeping them happy but hasn’t really given himself the attention. He always was the person/guy to give, give, give, and never once gave himself the self Luv and attention needed. As much as he’s been through; mentally, physically, spiritually, it made perfect sense to come up with the name Luv Docta. He was in the process of getting back to himself, pumping up his plans, ideas, and wanted something that will resonate with him forever.

Luv Docta grew up with all Women; a single Mother and 3 sisters. He’s been in relationships and around Women enough to learn them inside/out, where it all just came to him like a calling or something. This was made for him! Overall, the name came from life experiences and relationships and having spent the majority of his life understanding and being around Women.

Luv Docta finds his music to be quite versatile. Its melodic, mellow, upbeat, provides a vibe like no other. You may have never heard of but it’s different and catchy. It gives off that vibe that’ll put you in the mood for anything rather you want something slow, chill, or even something to dance or upbeat, the Luv Docta has what you’re craving for.

Usually, when he’s in the studio, Luv Docta likes to be alone; it puts him in this zone where it’s only him and the mic. It gives him more attention to detail and freely speaking his mind. He always needs to set the mood and vibe first. Lights for example, Most times he will freestyle his music, and at times he may write little bit of his music to get a wave going, then records in the studio and let everything else fall into place. It’s like a whole process! Luv Docta is always freestyling tunes in his head, recording himself from the phone to remember that idea for when he gets in the studio. Once he’s in the zone, expect a hot banger from that point.
