Ricky Montgomery - Same Shit

Copied!edit Lyrics
original text at lyrnow.com/2000768
Intro
(Good morning, Ricky
It’s the dream we have as parents:
The kids can use their tablet for an hour or so
Then they’ll spend the rest of their day
Oh, climbing trees and playing with friends
But then reality hits, it’s only lunchtime
They’ve been on the device for five hours
And you’re yelling at them again to quiet down)
Purple Lights
All day

Verse
It’s the same shit
Different generation
You put the iPad in his hands
Now you’re mad at him
For being an influencer
For building a campfire for himsеlf
From the ground you gave him
It’s the samе shit
Different generation
You put the Gameboy in my hands
Even got me the advance
Oh no
Maybe I found something
To be happy for myself withSee Ricky Montgomery LiveGet tickets as low as $37

{Chorus}:
And I don’t want to let it go
But I can’t seem to find the antidote
To this same shit
Different generation
You put the iPhone in her hands
Now you’re mad at her
For being a YouTuber
For making a name for herself
From the platform you gave her
It’s the same shit
Different generation
You put the microphone in my hands
Even got me a band
Oh no
Maybe I found something
To be happy for myself with

{Verse}:
It’s the same shit
Different generation
You put the typewriter in her hands
Now you’re mad at her
For being a writer
For creating a masterpiece
From the desk you gave her
It’s the same shit
Different generation
You put the camera in my hands
Even got me a lens
Oh no
Maybe I found something
To be happy for myself with

{Chorus}:
And I don’t want to let it go
But I can’t seem to find the antidote
To this same shit
Different generation
