Amelie Roden - Spring cleaning

I sewed up the holes in my favourite jeans and cut my hair last night
And please before you point out all the flaws notice how hard I tried
It’s easier said than done, to get up and move on
I took all the pictures out the frames hung on my bedroom wall
And now the room’s so plain it’s like no one’s ever lived here at all
But I think it’s better that way, ‘bout time I polished my slate

But there’s still a ghost of a girl crying in the corner
It’s so hard to ignore her
I dry her tears then show her the door, but she only leaves when friends come over
