Biography

edit bio
Born Lucie Joanne Silverman on 4th September 1977, Lucie Silvas is a British singer-songwriter. Initially signed to EMI Records in 2000, Silvas' debut single “It’s Too Late” was released, charting at number 62 in the UK. Before she could release her debut album, Silvas was dropped.

In 2004, Silvas released her eventual debut album Breathe In through Mercury. It spawned UK top 10 hits “What You’re Made Of” and “Breathe In”, as well as Dutch top 20 hit “Nothing Else Matters,” a Metallica cover. The album was certified platinum for sales of over 300,000.

Silvas scored a Dutch #1 single with Marco Borsato on “Everytime I Think of You” and a French top 2 hit with Grégory Lemarchal on “Même Si (What You’re Made Of).”

However, after a series of delays, and an earlier international release, Silvas released The Same Side, her sophomore album, and it failed to replicate the success of Breathe In, so Silvas was dropped again.

Eventually, in 2015, Silvas released her third album Letters to Ghosts independently, and fourth album E.G.O. followed in 2018.
